Mission: The mission of the Social Enterprise Alliance-Long Island Chapter is to support the growth and development of nonprofit and for-profit enterprises that simultaneously pursue self-sustaining revenue and measurable social impacts.
We are a group of socially-conscious people who have formed a Long Island chapter of The Social Enterprise Alliance (SEA). The group consists of entrepreneurs in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, potential social enterprise investors/philanthropists, foundations, and other interested parties.
SEA is the leading membership organization in North America for for-profit and nonprofit social enterprises, service providers, business corporations, and venture capitalists that is actively building the field of social enterprise through networking opportunities, educational forums, strategic partnerships, and impact legislation. Members are passionate about changing their communities and passionate about providing them with the tools they need to continue their good work.
Social enterprise is a widely practiced method for creating a more-just & sustainable world. SEA is advocate for the field, hub of information & education, and builder of a vibrant and growing community of social enterprises. SEA is passionate about social enterprise, and is driven by serving the people and organizations who continue to work in this growing sector.
SEA connects the vibrant and growing community of social enterprise by hosting learning and networking opportunities among social enterprises, investors, foundations, lenders, educators, corporations, and service providers in regional hotspots throughout the United States and Canada.
With a community of nearly 700 members, SEA actively connects members with potential clients, sources of capital, marketing opportunities, helpful informational resources, and leaders in the field to build your business and strengthen your social impact.
